In March of 2020 I had a skiing accident that ended in me rupturing my ACL and tearing my meniscus. Two months later I had surgery. Prior to my injury I struggled with energy and had no motivation to exercise. My injury was the precursor to my journey of a total life change. Over the course of my recovery I began to gain a love and passion for exercise and being active. I lost 35 pounds and went from dreading my trips to the gym to having a burning passion to be in the gym. The struggles that came with healing from reconstructive ACL surgery were not easy to overcome. There were points that I was pushed to limits I had no idea I was capable of being pushed. Overcoming the challenges I faced are what placed the passion inside me to help others. I want others to experience feeling better about themselves, having more energy, and living an active and fulfilling life. I can't wait to share my skills and expertise to help you change your life for the better too.
I am a certified personal trainer through NASM, a highly accredited organization in the world of fitness. I take your fitness goals seriously. I understand that losing weight and gaining muscle can be challenging. My goal is to help you overcome hurdles and reach your goals. I analyze your body type, BMI, and set goals, to create your individualized fitness plan.
I use an integrated training approach. This means that I incorporate all essential areas of fitness into my individualized programs (cardio, flexibility, balance & core, skill development, and resistance). With this approach in mind, I assess your body/movement patterns and create a fitness plan that will help you reach your goals. I will work with you to keep you on track and hold you accountable to achieve the healthy lifestyle you desire!
I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult (I have been there!). My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. I strongly believe that if you get in a routine of practicing healthy habits, you will be able to reach your desired short and long term goals.
